Chicken salona recipe (stew with vegetables)

Chicken salona (or chicken saloon) is a delicious catar dish! It can be prepared with chicken, fish or lamb and also carries vegetables and a mixture of spices. And to further enhance the taste of vegetables and spices, a special ingredient: monosodium glutamate!

How to make chicken salona

In a medium bowl, put the chicken, half of salt, AJI-NO-MOTO® and the black pepper, and mix. Cover and let it taste in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. In a large pan, put the oil and fry the chicken gradually for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Book the chicken in an average bowl. In the same pan used earlier, add the onion and garlic, and sauté over high heat for 3 minutes, or until the onion is transparent. Add the tomato, cinnamon, cumin and remaining salt, and sauté for 3 minutes, or until the tomato starts to crumble. Add the reserved chicken, carrot and potatoes and mix. Add the water and cook with the pan semi -covered over medium heat for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and serve then.

Ingredients

  • Half small chicken, clean and cut into smaller pieces (1 kg)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (5 g)
  • Half teaspoon of glutamate monosodium AJI-NO-MOTO® (2 g)
  • 2 pinches of black pepper (0.4 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of oil (15 ml)
  • 1 minced medium onion (150 g)
  • 2 chopped garlic cloves (6 g)
  • 2 mature medium tomatoes, cut into medium cubes (300 g)
  • 2 hints of cinnamon (0.4 g)
  • 2 pinches of cumin (0.4 g)
  • 1 large carrot, in cubes (200 g)
  • 2 medium potatoes, in cubes (400 g)
  • 2 and half cups of water (500 ml)

Preparation mode

  • Add the reserved chicken, carrots and potatoes, and mix until you completely wrap them through the braised.
  • Add the water and cook, with the semi -timed pan, over medium heat, for 20 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft.
  • Remove from heat and serve then.
